Headshots for actors... by an actor
As a fellow actor, I sometimes see headshots in which an actor is posed, but hollow. Or their wardrobe, physicality, and relationship with the camera are telling contrasting stories.
In short, they worked with an excellent photographer, but not someone who helped them let go.
I love to help an actor play in their headshot session. I truly believe that the moment we stop thinking about getting a good headshot... is when we get a good headshot.
What's Included?
At the beginning of our session, we'll look over your wardrobe options for each castable type. We'll also lay out a plan for hair and makeup and make sure all the stories align. (You'll have your own restroom for changing looks.)
We'll work in my home studio, playing with bringing each person to life. I believe your job is to keep exploring and my job is to keep you out of your head. We'll usually find "it" right when we stop looking.
You'll receive all images the same day. No watermarks, no pruning down the options. Everything we capture is yours. You get a link for a gallery to share with reps, friends, coaches, etc...
You receive 1 edit per look. Bought 2 looks? You get 2 edits. Each additional edit is $25. Bought an unlimited package? Your first 4 edits are free.
Within 2 weeks, you'll receive your final images. Print-friendly and web-friendly sizes for everything you may need!
FAQ
What is a "look?"
Any time we need to dedicate time to changing an outfit, hair, and/or makeup, that counts as a look. Usually, a look is a castable type. But if you can get into 1 look, and then take off a jacket, and then take off an overshirt, and get several "types" - all without stepping away from the light - then that still counts as 1 look!
How much time for each look?
Since I charge by the look, I had to put a time constraint on each look. So I budget 30 minutes for each look. Usually, that's more than enough time for last looks, playing, getting the shot, and then getting some bonus shots. With the Unlimited Package, we have 2 hours and I promise that is plenty of time to get what we need.
Do you have an H/MUA you recommend?
Yes, I do! Her name is Nisha. She offers a wide range of options but she always nails the natural look on camera. She will match your hair, color palette, and overall appearance to the look we're shooting. Just ask and I'll get you in touch.
What's the turnaround time?
You'll get all images the same day. Once you get your selects back to me, I ask for 2 weeks to get final edits to you, but they'll often be delivered sooner. It just depends on how many other edits I'm working on.
Do you have a long waitlist?
No. Since I offer a wide range of services, my headshots are booked just the same as my other appointments. So you might be able to find an appointment for tomorrow, for example. And if you can't find something, you can always email or text me for options.
Pricing
Only $125 per look or an Unlimited Look session for $500.
Editing
I'll remove anything that won't be there in 2 weeks.
But you... stay you.
